Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using The Scottsdale Matchmaker website, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. When using this website’s particular services, you are also subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to those services, which are incorporated by reference into these Terms of Use.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use our services. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from individuals under 18. You will be asked to verify your age before starting services.
Use of the Site
This site and the information, tools, and materials provided on it are for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information obtained from this site without our express written consent.
No Guarantee of Match or Outcome
Matchmaking and dating consulting are inherently personal, and results depend on many factors outside our control, including the preferences, availability, and compatibility of the individuals involved. The Scottsdale Matchmaker does not guarantee that you will be matched with a compatible partner, that any introduction will result in a relationship, engagement, or marriage, or any particular outcome from our services.
Assumption of Risk — In-Person Introductions
Our services involve introducing you to other individuals for social and romantic connection. While we conduct identity verification and screening as described in our Anti-Human Trafficking Policy below, we cannot guarantee the truthfulness, intentions, safety, or background of any individual you are introduced to. You are solely responsible for exercising your own judgment before and during any meeting or communication with a person introduced through our services. For your safety, we recommend that any initial in-person meeting take place in a public location, that you arrange your own transportation, and that you share your plans with a trusted friend or family member. You assume all risk associated with meeting and interacting with individuals introduced through our services, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Confidentiality
We understand the sensitive and personal nature of the information you share with us. We will keep your personal, relationship, and matchmaking information confidential and will not disclose it to anyone outside our organization except: (a) to the extent necessary to provide our services, (b) with your consent, (c) to service providers bound by confidentiality obligations, or (d) as required by law or to protect the safety of you or others.
Hold Harmless
You agree to hold harmless The Scottsdale Matchmaker, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against all losses, expenses, damages, and costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, resulting from any violation of these Terms of Use or any activity related to your account (including negligent or wrongful conduct) by you or any other person accessing the site using your account.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The services provided by The Scottsdale Matchmaker, and all information, products, and other content included in or accessible from this site, are provided “as is” and are subject to change at any time without notice. The Scottsdale Matchmaker disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of Liability
In no event will The Scottsdale Matchmaker be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from the use or inability to use the site or our services, or from any interaction, meeting, or relationship arising from an introduction made through our services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in this section limits liability where prohibited by Arizona law.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use our services for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm, disable, or impair the operation of our business. Misuse of our services, including attempts to gain unauthorized access or to engage in fraud, is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of access.

Except as expressly permitted in these Terms, you may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on this site without our prior written consent.
Arbitration and Class Action Waiver
Except for (a) claims that qualify for small claims court, (b) your rescission rights described above, and (c) any claim that applicable law says cannot be subject to arbitration, you and The Scottsdale Matchmaker agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms of Use or our services will be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. You and The Scottsdale Matchmaker each waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class, consolidated, or representative action. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable right you have under Arizona law, including the rescission rights described above.
Governing Law and Venue
These Terms of Use, and any dispute arising out of or related to them or your use of this website or our services, are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any action not subject to the arbitration provision above will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Severability, Entire Agreement, and Force Majeure
Severability. If any provision of these Terms of Use is found unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement. These Terms of Use, together with any signed services agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and The Scottsdale Matchmaker regarding your use of the website and our services, and supersede any prior agreements.
Force Majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of government, or pandemics.

Scottsdale Matchmaker Anti-Human Trafficking Policy
Service Model Explanation
Scottsdale Matchmaker is a private, bespoke matchmaking service operating exclusively through human-led introductions. We are not a marketplace, dating site, or public platform. Clients cannot create public profiles, browse other clients, or communicate independently with other clients outside of our facilitation.
To illustrate, in an open marketplace model, oranges are displayed publicly for buyers to select and purchase directly. In contrast, our model resembles a private concierge: introductions are curated by our team based on compatibility, mutual consent, and thorough vetting. Clients do not “shop” for matches; they are thoughtfully introduced to individuals hand-selected by our professional matchmakers.
Because clients have no direct public exposure or ability to initiate contacts independently, there is no structural opportunity for trafficking, exploitation, or commercial transactions between users.
Commitment to Preventing Human and Sex Trafficking
Scottsdale Matchmaker maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against human trafficking, sex trafficking, sexual exploitation, or any related illegal activities. We actively monitor and enforce this commitment through structured client onboarding, ongoing oversight, and reporting procedures.
No part of our service may be used to facilitate, promote, or conceal trafficking or exploitation. Any client suspected of engaging in, or intending to engage in, such activities will have their access immediately terminated and will be reported to appropriate legal authorities.
Client Verification and Screening Procedures
- Identity Verification: All clients must provide valid government-issued identification (e.g., passport, driver’s license) to confirm age and legal identity prior to being accepted.
- Personal Consultation: Every prospective client undergoes a comprehensive human-led consultation, conducted by trained staff, to assess personal goals, intentions, and relationship suitability.
- Eligibility Screening: Clients seeking transactional relationships, illicit activities, or any other intentions incompatible with long-term, meaningful partnerships are rejected.
- Background Checks: Upon request or in circumstances indicating elevated risk, third-party background screening may be conducted to identify criminal history or other concerns.
Staff Training and Monitoring
Scottsdale Matchmaker staff members are trained to identify potential red flags indicating trafficking, exploitation, or illegal behavior, including requests for arrangements involving payments for meetings or intimacy, attempts to circumvent our private facilitation process, and discrepancies in client information, behavior, or documentation.
If any concerns arise, staff are required to escalate the issue immediately to management. Scottsdale Matchmaker maintains a confidential reporting protocol and, where appropriate, will notify relevant law enforcement agencies.
Policy Enforcement and Accountability
- Documentation of all client identity verification.
- Routine internal audits of onboarding and matching procedures.
- Immediate suspension and investigation of any suspected violations.
- Cooperation with legal authorities in cases of suspected trafficking or exploitation.
Acknowledgment
