Cat was born in Scottsdale, Arizona and raised her family in Iowa—giving her the grounded warmth of the Midwest paired with the adventurous spirit of the Southwest. She attended Northern Arizona University and Bowling Green State University, where her fascination with human behavior, attachment, and relationship dynamics deepened.

She launched her private coaching practice in 2015, began formal matchmaking in 2020, and obtained her professional matchmaking credential in 2021.
